Sharing My Story
Traditional Aboriginal people have been ‘Sharing their Story’ since time began, through many forms from the landscape through to what we now call art. Throughout my music career I have been telling many of My Stories through song all over the world.
In today’s society in general there are many social issues that overwhelm many people from all walks of life. I have taken my experiences as a Traditional Aboriginal man in recent times and have began working along side different social service agencies with Indigenous and non-Indigenous persons as a mentor and trainer.
My Story is a presentation I have put together that Shares My Story, and is a great tool for me to help people see that they are not on their own, and that life is good. It is very real and speaks of some of the social expectations that have become manifest in especially Indigenous Australian Society and how I overcame them. The people and things that made the difference for me.
